I'm Sarah. I'm a small town girl from Dayton Ohio married to the love of my life, snuggler of the world's sweetest doggie and follower of Jesus Christ! I love photographing love, life and memories. So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some of my most recent work.
If you have been around here long enough you have probably seen one of these blog posts before. You have seen that I go overboard when it comes to holidays. But I have some reasons.
1.)I have a deep love for planning things. It makes my heart happy when you make a plan and then seeing it all goes smoothly (or as smooth as it can).
2.) I have a deep and real love for flowers. You will find them in our home for no reason…so imagine when there is a reason.
3.) Hosting family and friends in our home brings us so much joy. When Andrew and I found this home, we prayed that our doors would be open, that the Lord would use our home to bring him glory and honor, and that our home would be a city on a hill.
So if you bring all of these things together, you have a recipe for holidays and gatherings that aren’t simple. Easter Sunday brunch was no exception.
I had a game plan, a list of things to accomplish, I delegated food to family members, and I had a decor scheme planned out. I had flowers, and more flowers and more flowers. I had my closest family over to celebrate our Savior rising from the grave and conquering sin and death!! We had yummy food made by everyone for everyone to enjoy.
It was the best day. The bright colors of the flowers helped us all forget that it freezing outside, the long table made it easy for all of us to talk to each other and raise a toast to another holiday together.
The conversation though, that was my favorite part. We were able to sit around and talk about our Savior, talk about what he means to us, talk about how he is unlike us, that everything we are and everything we have and everything we hope to be, comes from him. Yikes, are we all so beyond blessed with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Here is a taste of what Resurrection Sunday looked like at the Maigur House!!
