Design- Quick Entry Redo

Happy New Year everyone!!! I can’t believe it’s 2020 already. I feel like 2019 FLEWWWWWW BY! Like wasn’t it just 2018 and now it’s 2020.

I have been BEYOND behind with posting things on this blog. Please forgive me. I have been soaking up every moment that I can with my sweet little baby Titus. And honestly, I have been trying to stay afloat. From housework to keeping the tiny human alive and happy, and trying to accomplish most of it during naptime, is a GIANT adjustment.

So here’s to hopefully more blogs. I have a lot of pretty fall sessions to share with you (but that’s for another day). First up in the new year is sharing a quick entryway redo.

I don’t think it’s just me but after the Christmas decorations come down, I just want to organize and redecorate or rearrange just about every space in the house. This year it seemed to hit like crazy. Every time I would lay awake in the bed in the morning or I would be in the shower (who else does their best thinking in the shower?!), this is what I would be thinking about.

I am not sure why the bug hit me so bad this year but it did. Up first was our front entryway. This space really hasn’t been changed much since we moved in 5 years ago. And quite honestly I still liked what was there, just felt like it needed a tiny little revamp.

Here are some before pictures so you can see what I’m talking about.

See what I mean?? The before wasn’t terrible. It got a facelift when the kitchen got remodeled last summer. You can read more about it here.

My inspiration was to make the space feel bigger and brighter. All I did was to change out the table decor, wall decor, and the knobs on the table. Let’s dive into the after pictures and I can post sources for everything at the end.

Isn’t that brighter?!? I think my plan and my dream actually worked out this time. The best news of all is that I didn’t have to spend a whole lot of money to make it happen.

As you can see this table is the same. Fun fact: it’s the first piece of furniture we bought for this house. It’s from Home Goods so finding the same one again would be beyond challenging It hasn’t even changed or moved. Until now. The new knobs are from Wayfair. They don’t seem to have the ones I purchased anymore but these are pretty close.

The mirror made the biggest change. I love how it bounces light all over the place in that space. It’s also from Wayfair. It’s called the Fey Accent Mirror. You can find it here.

Everything else we already had and I just moved things around from the whole house. So that means the rest of the house got small little changes too. Be on the lookout for more of these little changes on the blog. I have big plans for the house and this space online. So keep checking back to see what’s going on next.
