Design- Backyard Oasis Redo

So this project…it was on our radar. But maybe not quite as fast as it came about .

The back porch needed repainted last year, but with Titus coming last summer, just getting it up and running if you will, was a task. It took family to help us get it power washed and put together.

So this summer, as you can imagine, it really needed re-painted. Picture paint peeling and chipping. Plus if I’m honest, that brown just had to go! It was really hot under foot, plus it was just SO dark. I feel like we needed a refresh.

We asked some people for suggestions about painters and couldn’t really find answers. Well, then a couple of mornings in a row of running the same route, I spotted a sign for Student Painters. I didn’t do anything about it. Then I just couldn’t take this being undone anymore. Within a couple of days of filling out the online form, sweet Haley was in my yard giving me a quote, and the next week the project was done!! We are BEYOND thrilled with the results.

Here are the only before pictures I could find. They are from last summer right before Titus was born.

And here is the AFTER!! I am OBSESSED with the new color. It is Sherwin Williams, Web Gray.

The sofa and other wicker furniture are from Amazon like 6 years ago. I recently got new cushion covers from Wayfair. The pillows are from EVERYWHERE outdoor pillows are sold.

The upper table is from Pier 1 3 years ago. I just painted the top this year. And the chairs and rug are from Target. The buffet table is also from Wayfair.

The lower table is from World Market. It was the first of my quarantine purchases. And the chairs are from Target. I just got those last year.

Everything else is probably from Target, Home Goods or Lowe’s!
